Hi all,

I have a quick question; I started my business just a few months ago and have picked up a few customers and a commercial account or two. What I am wondering is my business is located in Wyoming and the snow (over 75 inches already this year) is just starting to melt but the ground is still frozen and our phone seems to be frozen right now also. My question is when should I expect things to start to pick up and is it more than likely the snow and frozen ground the hold up?

I have placed an ad in the local Coffee News, handed out flyers to most of he real estate agents and hung flyers in all the pet stores and vets. I am also having shirts and pullovers made so when I am out working passer byers can see the company.

So my second question any ideas on what else I should to try to pull in business or does it again just come back to the snow and frozen ground?

I hope this all makes sense.

Thanks,

Matt

I think it's the snow; when the snow melts and the ground begins to appear, and the accumulated waste is revealed in people's yards, the phones will ring.  This is the time to try to be as consistent as you can with at least small ads in the classified section of local neighborhood papers.  I think the most powerful single thing right about now, or as soon as things start picking up and people are getting outside and the snow is all melted, is to get out a news release to try to get coverage by your local newspapers, radio and TV.  That's something that costs virtually nothing, and can be literally invaluable in terms of creating awareness and credibility for your company.
